An important update regarding the location of the U15/U17 NSW Championships/Kids Classic/Open Competition scheduled for 23-24 April 2022.

Due to the Tamworth Country Music Festival being postponed from January to April (18-24) there is a lack of reasonably priced accommodation in and around Tamworth over the weekend of 23-24 April 2022. The music festival is a huge event so due to this clash NSWWA has decided to change the location of our competition.

The U15/U17 NSW Championships/Kids Classic/Open Competition will now take place at Urban Base Fitness in Newcastle. The championship sessions and kids session are planned for Saturday late morning to afternoon and the open sessions are scheduled for Sunday morning. We are planning around this being a weekend away for our kids/U15/U17 lifters and will be holding a dinner on Saturday night. We also hope that our junior lifters will be available to help on Sunday morning.

To compete in the U15/U17 Championship section of this event lifters must have achieved a total between 7 November 2021 – 10 April 2022. The Kids Classic is for members who are U12 and the open is for all lifters 18 and over. This event is also the final opportunity for masters to qualify for their NSW Championships.

Accommodation arrangements are up to individuals, however, your Club might consider making a group booking. Please note that this is the last weekend of the school holidays and it is also a long weekend due to Monday being Anzac Day.
